Comedian Ray Zawodni, a “white dude with swag” according to Ed, joins The Drinking Partners in the studio for an hour of laughs. Sports talk soon commences, as the men muse about soccer and hackey sack, which Ray admits is the “most embarrassing thing that white people have done.” From there, the alcohol-infused interview goes wild, entertainingly untamed as the trio proposes a dating site for the homeless. At the podcast’s midpoint, the comics discuss the art of stand-up, offering up viewpoints on how to react to a hostile crowd and how jokes are crafted. Tipsy by the episode’s end, The Drinking Partners and Ray let loose and perform as if they are on stage, sharing uncensored and outrageous opinions and jokes, each bit more raucous and disorderly than the next. A frenzied, lawless, and amusing listen, but definitely not safe for work.
